Fun Session at Prairiefire - Overland Park Photographer

Choosing a location for your fall family photo session is sometimes the hardest decision once you've hired your favorite Kansas City photographer. There are so many great options around Overland Park and Olathe and each offer something different. The great thing about the Museum at Prairiefire is that it provides a variety of backdrops.

The bright colors of the museum glass are so vibrant and a great way to add interest to your typical family portraits. I loved exploring the entire site with some fellow photographers on this day to practice and find the best spots for our fall sessions.

In contrast to the modern museum, the grounds are filled with beautiful wildflowers and trails which will add tons of variety to your family's gallery. I hope the yellow flowers stick around for a few weeks and I can't wait to see how the area changes over the next few months.

Since every family is different and everyone has different needs, styles and budgets, I am offering 3 different options for your fall family photos.

In addition to family portrait sessions, the museum grounds would be a BEAUTIFUL location for your senior portrait session. It's like getting 2 locations all in one.

And before heading out at the end of the session the parking garage is a great {unexpected} location to snap a few photos. Just look at how the beautiful light covers her face while providing great contrast in the background.

Let me know in the comments which of the three "locations" is your favorite. I would love to chat with you about your photography needs this season or in the future.
