Each September MedTrakRx, an Overland Park based pharmacy benefit manager, hosts a ProAm benefiting the Folds of Honor foundation. Since 2012, they have raised over $300,000 to provide scholarships to the family of fallen and wounded soldiers. In 2017 the ProAm was held at Milburn Country Club in Overland Park on a beautiful Fall day in Kansas City.
The course was beautiful and the efforts of the many volunteers made for a great event.
Breakfast was provided for the almost 100 players and volunteers to fuel the players for a fun filled day of meaningful golf. After checking in, players hit the range and practice greens to warm up and mingle with the other participants before the shot gun start in the 5-man scramble event.
Each year an honored guest speaks about how the Fold of Honor foundation has helped their family after such a huge sacrifice. The stories are touching, heart breaking and inspiring all at once.
And then they were off! The teams competed in 2 divisions and had a great time enjoying a day away from the office and supporting such a great cause.
