Project 52 : Week 32 - Reflection

Oh how each child if so different...what started with a punishment for Landon turned out to be a coveted task for Bryce. But, hey, I'll take it either way!

Though the reflection is subtle in this photo I love the overall composition of it. The contrast of light and dark and his focused stare at the glass ensuring that he got every last mark cleaned, tell the story and his sweet personality always wanting to help out mama.

A note about my settings and setup (shot in manual mode).

  1. I used the 35mm lens so I could get Bryce in the frame as well as a lot of the scene in order to tell the story.

  2. I shot both inside and outside but for this one I was outside looking towards the house and it was evening so there was plenty of light. The ISO is set to 250.

  3. I wanted to blur out the background so the aperture is f/2.8. The focal point was on his hand but since his face is on the same plane it is also in focus (his ear more than his eyes but it's close ;) ).

  4. The shutter speed was just set to get correct exposure. It was at 1/1600.
