Project 52 : Week 26 - Off-Prompt

In case you didn't know, the amount of bubbles they give you in the bottle in essence makes the bubble gun a one-time use toy. LOL! At least with my 3-year old it does. But he was entertained and the light was magical so it was all good!

The prompt this week was supposed to be morning. I originally chose this prompt so that I would be "forced" to document a part of our morning routine. But, alas, that did not happen. Mornings are so crazy it just wasn't going to happen. And when the weekend rolled around

A note about my settings and setup (shot in manual mode).

  1. I wanted to be close to Landon so the bubbles would create fun foreground bokeh but I also wanted more of the scene in the frame so I choose my "go-to" 35mm lens.

  2. It was pretty sunny outside still so I was able to keep the ISO very low at ISO 160.

  3. I wanted to be sure to get Landon's face in focus as well as some of the bubbles so the f-stop was f/4.

  4. The shutter speed was a but low at 1/125 but in this case it works out ok.

  5. I should have changed my settings slightly by increasing the shutter speed to like 1/250 and lowering the aperture to f/2.8. The exposure would have been the same and more of the background would have been blurred out more.
