It's already fall in Kansas City and it's hard to believe we are able to enter fourth quarter and all the craziness that comes with it. Halloween, Thanksgiving, Christmas, New Year's. But before all of that it's the prime season for families all across Johson County to update their family photos.
"They" say that October is to photographers as April is to accountants. But I say bring on the fun and excitment of meeting new families and reconnecting with past clients to capture these moments of their families. I do not take for granted when clients hire me and trust me with their memories and invest in my vision and art. So thank you for considering me - I know there are a lot of great photographers in Olathe and Overland Park and it isn't an easy decision deciding who to trust and hire each year.
The Kelly family was the perfect family to kick off the busy fall season with and Brandi and John's boys are just too cute. Being a mother of 2 boys myself, it was like a glimpse into my future. Their boys are 6 and 9 while mine are just 2 and 4 {so it's a ways off} but it was interesting to see how much my boys will change in the coming year...and also how much will stay the same.
Little boys will also love cuddling with their mama and they can't sit still for very long. Haha! But when they do, geez, just look how adorable they are. These photos of the boys together are enough to completely melt and mama's heart to pure mush. I am so glad Brandi ordered a print of this one to display in her home. :)
This location in Heritage Park was a great backdrop and provided tons of variation. The trees hadn't started turning yet but the early fall sun filtered through the trees beautifully creating magical light around this family.
During a family session I strive to photograph tons of combinations and get those authentic smiles to come out while still providing timeless portraits of your family.
And we'll always document the people that started it all started - Mom and Dad together.
